Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills and Minister for Intellectual Property

Responsibilities

The minister is responsible for:

  • intellectual property (including copyright, trademarks, patents, design, enforcement)
  • Co-chair of PBS (Professional and Business Services) council
  • cross-cutting EU engagement with Lord Livingston – each BIS Minister will lead on EU engagement on areas within their policy brief
  • all BIS business in the Lords – excluding trade/exports and science/higher education

Baroness Neville-Rolfe DBE CMG was appointed Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills on 17 July 2014.
