Get help for radicalisation concerns

Use the national referral form, which is hosted on the Get help for radicalisation concerns page, to refer an individual to Prevent.

Training

Train staff in your setting to understand their role under the Prevent duty in higher education.

The Home Office e-learning packages are the recommended Prevent training for higher education staff because they are regularly updated.

Online training

You can also attend live virtual training sessions delivered by CONTEST co-ordinators to build your understanding of Prevent and ask questions.

In-person training

You can use the introduction to the Prevent duty in higher education training materials to support local face-to-face training.

Training for higher-level apprentices

Providers of higher-level apprenticeships (levels 6 and 7) are subject to inspection by Ofsted in line with the standards set out in the education inspection framework.

Nottingham Trent University has produced a series of videos to help higher-level apprentices understand Prevent and its role in safeguarding learners from radicalisation.
