The CMA is taking action in response to competition and consumer protection issues in the UK arising from the conflict in the Middle East.

The CMA has written to the Chancellor to set out its action to monitor pricing pressures, protect consumers and ensure competition is working effectively.

Heating oil

We completed a market study into the retail supply of heating oil for domestic use in the UK, and commenced a consumer protection review.

Road fuel

We are closely monitoring petrol and diesel prices and enforcing the Fuel Finder scheme.
