Flooding and travel disruption
Heavy rainfall has caused flooding in parts of Ghana, including areas of Accra and its surroundings. Flooding may cause disruption to roads, transport services, power supplies and other infrastructure. Conditions can change at short notice. If you are in an affected area, avoid unnecessary travel, do not drive or walk through floodwater, monitor local media and weather updates, and follow instructions from the local authorities.
On 29 June, the Government of Ghana issued a Public Safety Advisory on Flooding with further information and advice.
