CLOSED: Youth Employment Initiative (OC50S19P1445)

Call to run a project in the More Developed Category of Regions who attract YEI Funding, and Liverpool City Region Transition area. No other Transition area is eligible to apply for this call.

This call is now closed. Please do not submit an application for this call. The information provided on this page is for reference purposes only.

Details

This Call is for the More Developed Category of Regions who attract YEI Funding, namely:

  • Black Country,
  • Coventry & Warwickshire,
  • D2N2,
  • GBSLEP,
  • Leicester and Leicestershire,
  • Liverpool City Region
  • South East LEP.

In addition, Liverpool City Region applicants can also apply to a maximum value of up to £1m ESF/YEI for the Transition area of Liverpool City Region. No other Transition area is eligible to apply for this Call.

Actions in this investment priority help to re-engage marginalised young people NEET, including through innovative approaches, customised training and support and volunteering activities. Activities may be focused on specific target groups such as: young lone parents; looked after children and care leavers; carers; ex-offenders; those involved in gangs; and young people with learning difficulties and disabilities.

YEI will support traineeships if it is not displacing already planned (and funded) provision and it adheres to the Traineeship Framework for Delivery. For apprenticeships, any activity must comply with the apprenticeship legislation.

This will be the last opportunity to apply for YEI funding. This Call is being launched to maximise the money still available in the More Developed areas and the remaining notional allocation for the Transition area of Liverpool City Region and it is expected that provision funded as a result of this Call will target those who are furthest from the labour market/hardest to help.
