Details
The Employment and Skills Board have identified a number of priorities to increase apprenticeship activity across the County. They support the ESIF priorities related to skills for growth and social and economic inclusion and include:
- targeting assistance to promote and engage young people (under 24yr olds) in discussions regarding post 16 choices with a focus on career pathways to include apprenticeships, FE college and sixth form options as well as other relevant provision
- expansion of the apprenticeship clearing house to include post 16 choices supporting educational establishments to meet benchmark 7, through the provision of:
- high quality information, advice and guidance for schools, businesses, and young people (and their parents)
- work experience support (for example work experience, training to improve employability skills)
- effective engagement of businesses and individuals *effective brokerage and matching of young people to employers
- increasing the number of apprenticeship starts within the growth sectors (advanced manufacturing/engineering, agritech, cyber security/IT) and Construction and Leisure and Tourism.
- increasing the number of available work placements through education available to 16-24 year olds in Worcestershire.

Location
The project must cover the Worcestershire LEP area.
Value
Approximately £ 1,500,000 of ESF is available.
Deadlines
Full application deadline: 09 March 2020
Completion date
Projects must be completed no later than 3 years and 6 months after the proposed project start date, however the ESF Managing Authority reserves the right to vary the maximum duration in exceptional circumstances. All ESF Projects must be completed by 31st December 2023. Project costs cannot be incurred beyond this date.

To apply for funding under this call you will need to complete and submit your Full Application via the ECLAIMS IT System.

Full Applications submitted in the ECLAIMS IT System after the call closing date shown above and on the call specification will not be appraised.

You will need to request an External Access Form for each person in your organisation who requires access.
