Call to run a project to enable the design of skills provision which will help individuals gain skills and qualifications relevant to the needs of the labour market in the Stoke & Staffordshire LEP area.

Details

The Managing Authority are looking for projects that will deliver two strands within this priority:

  • Strand 1: High Quality Careers and Employment Information, Advice and Guidance supported through employer involvement and the development of quality LMI materials
  • Strand 2: Support employers to work with schools, colleges, youth professionals and other education and skills providers to support the design and delivery of the careers and employability curriculum In particular:
  • Activities that support SMEs to attract new talent through the development, training of staff and piloting of innovative careers activities in schools and colleges which encourage young people to consider technical education routes into jobs and careers, in particular:
  • Providing additional or enhanced opportunities for employers to input into the higher-level skills system;
  • Encouraging local employers to attend graduate recruitment events and create clear graduate positions and career pathways;
  • SMEs and educational establishments working together to develop the employability skills of recent graduates (within 6 months of graduating), particularly where they are unemployed;
  • Collaborative working between SMEs and education establishments to Identify solutions to technical skills gaps
  • Work closely with the employer and training provider to prepare the learner upfront and support both learner and employer over the duration.
  • Support providers and industry placement employers to access and apply for relevant funding including the Capacity Development Fund.
  • Support with Access to Work guidance and support.

Location

The project must cover the Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire LEP area.

Value

Approximately £1,886,000.00 of ESF is available.

Deadlines

Full application deadline: 20 April 2020

Completion date

Projects must be completed no later than 3 years and 6 months after the proposed project start date, however the ESF Managing Authority reserves the right to vary the maximum duration in exceptional circumstances. All ESF Projects must be completed by 31st December 2023. Project costs cannot be incurred beyond this date.

To apply for funding under this call you will need to complete and submit your Full Application via the ECLAIMS IT System.

Please note: the ECLAIMS IT System can only be access from within the UK.

Full Applications submitted in the ECLAIMS IT System after the call closing date shown above and on the call specification will not be appraised.

You will need to request an External Access Form for each person in your organisation who requires access.

It is your responsibility to ensure you request and activate your ECLAIMS access in sufficient time. We strongly advise that you obtain and activate your ECLAIMS access at least 2 weeks prior to the advertised call closure date, if not sooner.
