You can call DfE if you cannot find the information you need online. Call centres are very busy because of coronavirus.

If your query is about coronavirus

Call the DfE coronavirus helpline if you have a query in England about:

  • early years including nurseries
  • schools
  • colleges
  • universities
  • children’s social care

If you work in a school, you’ll need your unique reference number (URN or UK PRN) when you contact DfE.
