SW08170 - Help and Support for Customer Members: Planned Downtime

The service is normally available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

There will be occasions however when the service is not available because we:

  • are enhancing the service
  • have planned downtime to ensure the resilience of our service
  • are fixing a problem that has occurred

Planned downtime

Unless unavoidable, no service downtime will be scheduled on a weekday during the hours of 08:00 to 18:00.

Where downtime is necessary, wherever possible, advance warning will be given through the Online Services pages of the HMRC internet site. General guidance and help sheets will be available here

Emergency downtime

Where the service is withdrawn at short notice we regret it may not be possible to immediately publish a message on our internet sites.
