Business Unit Policies and Assurance Checks: Shared Workspace Business Sponsor Certificate of Assurance
It is the responsibility of the Shared Workspace Business Sponsor (SW Business Sponsor) to ensure their HMRC Business Authorising Officers (BAOs) manage their Rooms effectively.
BAOs carry out mandatory Room reviews of intervals of 6 months, or at more frequent intervals where required, and complete a BAO Certificate of Assurance once the set of reviews is completed SW03605.
The SW Business Sponsor Certificate of Assurance confirms that a BAO for each Shared Workspace Room has conducted their mandatory 6 monthly (or more frequent) reviews.
A SW Business Sponsor Certificate of Assurance must be
- completed for each deployment annually
- retained by the SW Business Sponsor for a minimum of 2 years.

The Global Community Administrator (GCA) is responsible for overseeing the annual review of Data Usage Agreements and SW Business Sponsor Certificates of Assurance. These reviews will take place annually in May although this can be varied should the need arise.
