Yorkshire and the Humber public health laboratory: services

The public health laboratory for Yorkshire and the Humber is based in Leeds.

Microbiology Services Division for Yorkshire and the Humber commissions regional laboratory services for the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) from the microbiology department at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. This is one of the largest microbiology departments in the country and offers a full range of routine and specialist tests.

The Leeds microbiology laboratory is also part of the Clostridium difficile Ribotyping Network (CDRN).

Tests

View a list of general clinical tests which are available from the majority of UKHSA regional microbiology laboratories. Please contact the laboratory directly to confirm test availability.
