The public health laboratory for Yorkshire and the Humber is based in Leeds.
Microbiology Services Division for Yorkshire and the Humber commissions regional laboratory services for Public Health England from the microbiology department at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. This is one of the largest microbiology departments in the country and offers a full range of routine and specialist tests
The Leeds microbiology laboratory is also part of the Clostridium difficile Ribotyping Network (CDRN).
