Use a software provider to prepare package accounts for Companies House

A list of software providers you can use to prepare certain specialist package accounts types, such as audit exempt subsidiary accounts.

This guide contains information on software providers you can use to prepare package accounts, so you can then file package accounts with Companies House online.

About package accounts 

Package accounts are accounts submissions made up of more than one component. This could be a package containing more than one set of accounts, or accounts that include a Companies House form.

Package accounts must be saved in a ZIP file format and iXBRL tagged using software.

You can file package accounts online for: 

  • community interest companies (CICs) 
  • audit exempt subsidiary accounts
  • dormant exempt subsidiary accounts
  • limited partnerships
  • UKSEF accounts for listed companies
  • group package accounts - section 400, parent incorporated under UK law 
  • group package accounts - section 401, parent incorporated under non-UK law 
  • Welsh accounts with an English translation
