A video to support school leaders with their strategic financial planning.
In this video, Sam Ellis, financial consultant with the Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL), explains how to simplify the factors that affect costs down to just 2 factors and how you can use this information to plan school finances strategically to achieve greater efficiency and better value for money.
You can view the ASCL schools financial efficiency nonograms (PDF, 129KB, 2 pages) and Sam’s article about What is a nonogram and how does it work? (MS Word Document, 20.9KB) . You can also use the ACSL strategic planning workbook (MS Excel Spreadsheet, 61.9KB) if you prefer.
You can find links to the ASCL website and other schools and organisations sharing best practice.
