The baseline designs for schools include drawings and descriptions of several sizes of primary and secondary school. These demonstrate good practice and general compliance with the Output Specification 2017 that can be achieved within set cost and area allowances.

The baseline design guidance outlines the cost and area allowances assumed. Baseline design strategies describe the design approach to access and inclusion, acoustics, circulation, daylight, environmental services, fire safety, structural design and ventilation.
