Heat Training Grant: discounted heat network training 

If you work in heat networks, you could get up to £500 towards the cost of heat network training.

Applies to England

What you can get

You can get a grant of up to £500 towards eligible courses in the following areas:

  • heat network feasibility and design
  • heat network construction
  • heat networks operation and maintenance
  • heat networks metering and billing and data collection
  • local authorities and developers

You can get one grant per person. All courses offered will cost up to £600, meaning all or most of the cost will be covered by the grant.

Eligibility

You’re eligible for the grant if you’re based in England.

There may be additional requirements for some of the courses.

How to apply

You can apply directly to the training provider. A list of approved training providers can be found on the Midlands Net Zero Hub website.

Your training provider will apply for the grant on your behalf.

The Midlands Net Zero Hub administers the grant scheme on behalf of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero.
