Apply for a driving test refund if you're affected by the Citroën C4, D4 or DS5 recall

You can claim a refund if you have to change or cancel your driving test at short notice because of the recall of Citroën C4, D4 or DS5 cars.

Applies to England, Scotland and Wales

Citroën has issued an urgent recall for some C4, D4 and DS5 cars due to a fault with the airbag system.

  1. Check if your Citroën C4, D4 or DS5 is affected by the recall.

  2. Do not drive your car until it’s been repaired if it’s affected.

  3. If you cannot get it repaired before your driving test, you will need to change or cancel your test.

  4. You can apply for a refund if you have to change or cancel your test at short notice because of this.

Citroën issued a recall for C3 and DS3 cars in June 2025. You can no longer claim a refund if you have to cancel your test at short notice because you have a C3 or DS3. You must still get it repaired before you can use it for your driving test. Find out what to do if you have a C3 or DS3.
