These statistics include:

• the number of smart meters installed by large energy suppliers in July to September 2021
• total numbers of smart and non-smart meters operated by these suppliers at the end of September 2021
• the full series from 2012 onwards of quarterly and annual operating and installation numbers

The next quarterly publication to end December 2021 is due for release on 8 March 2022.
