The Pension Credit Application and Awards: August 2025 was published on 28 August 2025. It represented the latest Pension Credit statistics available at the time of publication, covering the period from 3 April 2023 to 24 August 2025.

A supplementary release of statistical information (data tables) was added to this page on 16 September 2025. This included the geographic distribution of applications and awards – by country, region, local authority, and Westminster parliamentary constituency – for Great Britain only.

A background information and methodology document was also added on 16 September 2025.

This statistical release provides data on Pension Credit applications and awards between April 2023 and August 2025.

It covers the number of weekly Pension Credit:

• claims received
• claims cleared
• claims awarded

Pension Credit is extra money for pensioners to bring their weekly income up to a minimum amount.
