Update: 19 December 2025

These tables were revised to correct an error in the non-domestic gas consumption for one area in the North East. This impacts 2023 data only, which has now been corrected in this version.

These tables provide the following statistics at Middle Layer Super Output Area (MSOA) and Lower Layer Super Output Area (LSOA) level in Great Britain:

  • number of gas meters
  • total gas consumption
  • mean and median gas consumption per meter

MSOA level statistics are provided for both domestic and non-domestic meters, while LSOA level statistics are only provided for domestic meters.
