Details

Legionnaires’ disease is a severe but uncommon form of pneumonia associated with exposure to water systems (natural or man-made) colonised by legionella bacteria. This report presents the epidemiological data on reported cases of Legionnaires’ disease whose symptoms started during 2012 and who were residents of England and Wales. Comparative data from previous years are included where appropriate.
