Change to Heat Pump Deployment statistics release

The latest release of the Heat Pump Deployment Official Statistics series took place on Thursday 12 March at 9.30am. In line with our ambitions to present as full a picture of total heat pump deployment in the UK, there will some changes to the statistics going forwards. From now on there will be increased coverage in the statistics, with ‘Total Retrofit UK Heat Pump’ deployment being presented, rather than only those heat pumps deployed with the support of DESNZ policies. Statistics about DESNZ low carbon heating schemes will continue to be available through their existing individual statistics releases, which have been linked below for ease.

If you have any feedback on this statistics series, please contact: amelia.ash@energysecurity.gov.uk

These heat pump deployment statistics provide information to monitor the number of hydronic heat pumps with a capacity up to 45kW installed in the United Kingdom.

This data is published as ‘official statistics in development’ because these are a new statistics series and are still in development. The data is published to inform users about the levels of heat pump deployment and to enable user feedback, as well as further methodological development. The status of these statistics will be under regular review and may be subject to change in the future.

Enquiries about these statistics should be directed to: amelia.ash@energysecurity.gov.uk
