Near to real-time suspected suicide surveillance for England: data to April 2026

These statistics act as an early warning system for changes in patterns of deaths by suicide to enable intervention. The report will describe monthly suspected suicide rates by age group and sex (up to April 2026), and quarterly proportions by method type (up to quarter 1, 2026). Delayed submissions for months prior to April 2026 will also be included.
