  1. Updated the list of Undertakers granted permission to withdraw from the non-household retail market. ESP Water Ltd exited the non-household retail market to Castle Water Ltd on 17 March 2023.

  3. Entries updated for Severn Trent Services, Severn Trent Water Ltd and United Utilities Water Ltd. Added an entry for South East Water Ltd.

Companies with approval to withdraw from the non-household retail market for water

Details

This is a list of water companies that have been granted permission to withdraw from the non-household retail market (known as “retail exit”). These companies stopped providing retail services to their non-household customers when the market opened in April 2017.

The water companies will transfer their non-household customers to an alternative supplier (known as an “acquiring licensee”). The alternative supplier will then be responsible for providing the retail services to those customers.
