Details
On 29 May 2026, Ofqual accepted an Undertaking from Cambridge English under B8 of the General Conditions of Recognition (‘the Conditions’). This followed Ofqual’s ongoing investigations into Cambridge English’s declaration of non-compliance with I3.1, I3.2(b) and B5.3 of the Conditions. This was in relation to Test Report Forms (TRFs) for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Assessment which failed to include the Ofqual logo and, in some cases, included incorrect qualification titles which did not match the qualification on the Ofqual register.
The Undertaking requires Cambridge English to put in place measures to mitigate any potential Adverse Effect to Learners, including issuing certificates which include the Ofqual logo and correct qualification titles to current learners awaiting results.
