Details

This strategy outlines how the UK NSC aims to review and improve its ongoing engagement with stakeholders. It supports the following recommendation made by the 4 UK chief medical officers (CMOs) for the expanded remit of the UK NSC following the independent review of adult screening programmes in England:

The secretariat for the UK NSC should continue with its efforts to improve stakeholder engagement and consider whether additional/different engagement will be needed for decisions made around targeted and stratified screening.

The strategy was first published in September 2022. It was updated in February 2026 following a thorough review conducted during 2025.

Commercial engagement with the UK NSC describes how the UK NSC can exchange ideas and knowledge with commercial organisations.
