UK NSC Open Call request form

Details

Any individual or organisation can submit a topic to the UK National Screening Committee (UK NSC) to consider. The UK NSC will consider whether the proposal is within the UK NSC remit and, if so, how the topic should be explored further.

See details and outcomes of previous annual call submissions to the UK NSC.

During the 3-month open call for topics (previously known as the annual call), individuals or organisations can submit proposals for:

  • new screening topics
  • an early update for topics that the UK NSC has considered within the past 3 years
  • modifications to, or the ceasing of, existing screening programmes

Proposals can cover population screening or targeted screening topics.

The next open call will run from 1 July 2026 to 30 September 2026.

UK NSC may review proposals outside an open call period in exceptional circumstances. See UK NSC open call exceptions criteria.
