Details

There were 20 accidents and incidents, involving the transport of radioactive materials from, to, or within the UK and this report includes descriptions of each event. None of these events involved significant radiological consequences. The events in 2004 can be compared with the preceding years:

  • 11 in 2003
  • 28 in 2002
  • 36 in 2001

These events have been entered into the Radioactive Material Transport Event Database (RAMTED).
