Update: August 2024

Submissions for the Autumn funding round are now closed.

The Heat Training Grant is still available for trainees.

Low carbon heat pumps are critical technologies for decarbonising heat. To meet the UK’s legally-binding climate targets, thousands more heating engineers need to learn to install and maintain these technologies.

The Heat Training Grant supports trainees in England taking short training courses relevant to heat pumps. Training providers offering the grant are able to provide trainees with a discount or rebate of up to £500.

Several heating manufacturers also provide additional discounts and offers to participating trainees. These benefits could be worth a further £500 to trainees in product vouchers and additional training.

Heat pump training providers can apply to offer the grant to trainees by completing the application form and returning it to heattraininggrant@energysecurity.gov.uk.
