Details

Heat networks are critical technologies for decarbonising heat and enabling the UK to meet its legally-binding climate targets. The number of networks in England is steadily growing and we expect the rate of growth to increase, so thousands more heat network professionals will be needed to learn to install and maintain these technologies.

The Heat Training Grant supports trainees in England taking courses relevant to heat networks. Training providers must be based in England to offer the grant, which will provide trainees with a discount or rebate of up to £500.

The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero will work with the Midlands Net Zero Hub to run a bidding process to select training providers for Year 2 of training delivery.

Contracts for Year 2 will run up to March 2025.

See the list of training providers for Year 1 of the scheme.
