In November 2020 Ofqual commissioned a study examining views on the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19) on learning. The research tracked and explored experiences of COVID-19’s impact, with an emphasis on general qualifications (A levels and GCSEs) and certain vocational and technical qualifications (VTQs) used to support progression to further or higher education such as BTECs.

The approach focused on the perceptions of year 11 and 13 pupils, and their parents and teachers, of the arrangements being put in place for qualifications in the 2020 to 2021 academic year.
