This report examines how young people’s attainment of level 2 and level 3 qualifications at the age of 19 is linked to their:
- socioeconomic background
- behaviour
- relationship with parents and carers
- perceptions of safety
It is based on matched survey and administrative data from the longitudinal study of young people in England 2 and the national pupil database.
The appendix has detailed tables that support the findings and analysis in the report.
