A guide for students

Details

The T Level transition programme is changing to T Level foundation year. You will need to reflect this from the academic year 2024 to 2025.

The T Level foundation year provides a high-quality route onto T Levels for students who would benefit from the additional study time and preparation that it will give them before they start their T Level.

National technical outcomes for the T Level foundation year are available and should be read alongside the framework for delivery.

In December 2021, we published guidance for providers delivering the T Level transition programme from academic year 2022 to 2023 onwards:

  • framework for delivery setting out information and expectations for how the programme should be delivered from academic year 2022 to 2023 onwards
  • a resource that providers can use to help design and deliver effective route-based projects on the programme
  • a work experience template that providers, employers and students can use to design and deliver work experience placements on the programme
  • a guide for prospective students, setting out what they can expect from the programme

Future updates to the framework for delivery and accompanying guidance and resources will be made as required.

See T Levels: next steps for providers for further information on delivering T Levels and the T Level foundation year.
