National technical outcomes (NTOs) should be delivered as part of the study programme set out in the framework for delivery. The introduction to the T Level foundation year and NTOs provides further information.
The NTOs set out what students are expected to be able to do to apply their learning by the end of the study programme.
There are NTOs for each of the 9 T Levels subject sectors. These are designed to support progression to all T Levels within that subject sector, rather than to a specific T Level. Providers should ensure their programme offers learners a clear progression pathway to further study in the relevant subject.
The NTOs currently being delivered are:
- agriculture, environmental and animal care
- business and administration
- construction and the built environment
- digital
- education and early years
- engineering and manufacturing
- health and science
- legal, finance and accounting
- creative and design
- sales, marketing and procurement
