Details

The Supported Housing Improvement Programme (SHIP) supports local authorities to address poor-quality supported housing and to drive up standards in their area. Initially a £20 million 3-year programme, a further £8 million of funding was issued to participating local authorities in May 2025, to continue the programme until 31 March 2026.

SHIP built on the success of £5.4 million year-long pilots which concluded in September 2021. An independent evaluation and a summary of good practice from the pilots were issued under the previous government.
