The UK National Reference Laboratory (NRL) for food microbiology is provided by UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) for the Food Standards Agency (FSA) and Food Standards Scotland (FSS) to comply with assimilated Regulation (EU) 2017/625 for Official Control Regulations (OCRs) for food safety. 

This document summarises NRL activities for April 2025 to March 2026. It supplements the 2024 to 2025 report of UK national reference laboratory for food microbiology
