This guidance provides information on making decisions under streamlined asylum processing. This includes deciding asylum claims without a substantive asylum interview where appropriate.

  1. Updated to clarify which claimants may be eligible for consideration via Streamlined Asylum Processing and to clarify the withdrawal process for individuals who fail to return an asylum questionnaire.

  2. This updated guidance reflects changes in streamlined asylum processing to include claims on or after 28 June 2022 and the inclusion of claims from Sudan post 28 June 2022. The guidance also explains the process of withdrawing asylum claims where a claimant fails to return an asylum questionnaire.
