The Environment Agency has received a new bespoke application for an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from Allsort Grab Services Ltd.

The applicant proposes an operation that undertakes the physical treatment of non-hazardous waste located within an industrial estate. The annual throughput for the site is <75,000 tonnes. The Environmental Permit is required for the storage (keeping) prior to removal, and treatment (all types of handling/processing) of non-hazardous inert and excavation. Waste treatment processes to be carried out on site include the following - Sorting (with loading shovel / 360° excavator or by hand) - Screening (by using appropriate mechanical screening plant and equipment) - Separation (by using appropriate mechanical screening plant and equipment) - Crushing (by using appropriate mechanical plant and equipment) - Blending (by loading shovel / 360° tracked excavator)
