Details

This note explains the procedure for applying for a Several or Regulating Order under Section 1 of the Sea Fisheries (Shellfish) Act 1967.

Several and regulating orders restrict the public right to fish in certain areas. In order to safeguard the rights of all those who have an interest in the area, very careful consideration is given to every application.

Applicants are asked to bear in mind that the process of obtaining an Order may take up to two years.
