These materials are designed for in-house training sessions for teaching and support staff in mainstream post-16 mainstream settings.
The training focuses on practical, evidence-informed strategies.
The resources cover:
- an introduction to the special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) areas of development
- how young people develop skills across the different areas of development
- how to use the areas of development to plan and adapt inclusive learning practice
- strategies to support learners’ progress and participation
- practical examples of how the framework can be applied in post-16 settings
The materials can be used in conjunction with the full training package SEND and inclusion training for post-16 settings.
