Details

The Residential Support Scheme provides help with the accommodation costs of learners aged 16 and over, who need to live away from home to study because their course is not available locally.

The Department for Education and the Department of Business Innovation Skills, who fund the scheme, have recently included a specific exemption to the eligibility criteria for the scheme to overcome a disadvantage to service families living, or recently returned from overseas.
