Public trust and confidence in charities: parliamentary briefing

Parliamentary briefing of September 2012 following research carried out by Ipsos MORI on behalf of the Charity Commission.



The report indicates that public trust in charities continues to rise - nearly all those surveyed said that charities’ role is essential. Research also shows an increase in people using charities for advice.

Trust is also gained if a charity is transparent in their reporting on how they spend their income.
