European Union member states must implement Article 6 of the Energy Efficiency Directive 2012/27/EU by 5 June 2014. Cabinet Office ministers have agreed to implement the government’s obligations, which relate to energy efficient procurement, through this Procurement Policy Note.

The note explains how organisations must comply with the requirements of the article for purchases made on or after 5 June 2014.
