PPN 02/12 contains guidance relating to the procurement of ICT products and services where there is a possibility that the whole life cost could exceed £100m. The Cabinet Office Structural Reform Plan stated that this guidance, which was a coalition commitment, would be published and implemented across central government.
This PPN contains a foreword by the Minister for the Cabinet Office, Francis Maude, advising how this guidance should be implemented and highlighting the benefits and implications of this new approach to procuring ICT.
This Procurement Policy Note (PPN) is now out of date. Please refer to the Digital, Data and Technology (DD&T) Playbook, which can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/the-digital-data-and-technology-playbook
