Case specific exemption allows you to dispose of waste that poses a low risk to people and the environment to a facility (a consignee) who:
- does not have a permit for radioactive substances activities
- accepts non-radioactive waste of a similar type
The disposal is authorised through your permit.
Use this form if you:
- are applying to vary your permit to add disposal using case specific exemption to a new consignee
- wish to amend an existing disposal using case specific exemption for example changing the amount or type of waste you send to a consignee
- no longer wish to use case specific exemption to dispose of waste to a consignee and are applying to remove this disposal route from your permit
- applying for a new permit and wish to include disposal using case specific exemption
All applicants must also fill in the forms Part RSR A and Part RSR F.
