Details

The offshore wind investment roadmap showcases the significant opportunities for private sector investment offered by the established offshore wind sector in the UK, ranging from site development to construction, and across a diverse supply chain.

The UK’s leading ambitions to reach up to 50GW of offshore wind deployment by 2030, including up to 5GW of floating offshore wind, are supported by a strong pipeline of investment-ready projects. This combines with the UK’s stable and established policy framework, to create a supportive environment for investment at scale.

The investment roadmap sets out how the UK is further supporting the sector through policies to streamline planning, support sustainable growth of the offshore wind supply chain and develop facilitatory infrastructure, building on the UK’s proven track record of delivery to date.

It includes details of key elements of the UK policy framework, supportive investment environment and government agencies whose products and functions can help companies to invest successfully in the UK as we move towards a decarbonised power system.

The update to the UK’s Green Finance Strategy sets out how government will align our world-leading financial centre to a net zero, nature positive and climate resilient world, and how government will mobilise public and private financial flows to meet our climate and environmental targets.
