On 1 October, Public Health England (PHE) was disestablished and its functions shared across a number of ‘receivers’ organisations.

The usual Office for Data Release (ODR) approval process was paused from 1 September 2021 to focus on the handover of data applications to the new system.

Details

Complete the Office for Data Release (ODR) data request form to initiate an application to request access to data held by PHE for use for direct care or secondary purposes; including research, clinical audit, service evaluation or surveillance.

The form captures a summary of the proposed project and confirms that the necessary approvals are in place to proceed with the application.

Submit the form and supporting evidence to ODR@phe.gov.uk.
