Details

This biodiversity gain statement sets out biodiversity net gain (BNG) requirements for nationally significant infrastructure projects (NSIPs) where no national policy statement (NPS) has effect. It sets out how these projects must calculate, deliver and report on BNG.  

BNG will become mandatory for NSIPs from 2 November 2026.
