Details

This research into the non-domestic private rented sector (PRS) minimum energy efficiency standard (MEES) regulations included qualitative interviews and focus groups with local authorities and other stakeholders, as well as further data analysis.

The report assesses:

  • general awareness and understanding of the regulations
  • impact of the regulations on landlords
  • responses to the regulations
  • levels of compliance amongst landlords
  • local authority enforcement activities

The research was conducted for the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) by ICF and The Behavioralist.
