This publication explains the newborn blood spot (NBS) screening data and reporting specifications for the Child Health Information Systems (CHIS).

The scope of this publication is limited to the recording of NBS data and reporting on that data.

It includes:

  • an example of KPI quarterly reporting template for NB1 and NB4 for the 2014 to 2015 Q2 reporting period

  • an early draft of the same template for Q1 2015 to 2016

  • the annual reporting template for standard 1a, standard 1b, and standard 12 for the years 2014 to 2015 and 2015 to 2016 (draft)
