This letter announces the launch of the 2011 Cancer Patient Experience Survey, and informs that the Review of Central Returns steering committee has approved this survey in all trusts offering adult acute in-patient cancer services. This is a priority in Improving Outcomes: A Strategy for Cancer, and the NHS Operating Framework 2011/12 recognises the value of patient surveys for measuring performance and driving improvement in NHS services.
